Exciting news! As part of our journey towards making planet-friendly skincare available to all, we’ve signed up to the SME Climate Hub and committed to:
- Net Zero by 2030 – though we’re on track to get there much sooner;
- Reducing our carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 – because reduction is better than offsetting; and
- Planet before profit.
What is the SME Climate Hub?
The SME Climate Hub is a global initiative that empowers small to medium sized companies to take climate action and build resilient businesses for the future. It’s part of the United Nation’s Race to Zero campaign, partnering with thousands of businesses and governments globally to reach net zero emissions by 2050.
What are Eco Skincare’s sustainability commitments?
Sustainability is at the heart of what we do here at Eco Skincare. We aim to deliver plastic-free makeup, cosmetics and personal care that’s eco friendly and lighter on our planet.
With that in mind, we decided that committing to the suggested ‘Net Zero by 2050’ wasn’t enough. We want climate action now, and the best way to do that is to be the change you want to see.
We have committed to Net Zero by 2030. That means our net impact of carbon emissions is zero. Sounds like a challenge? We love a challenge! So much that we’re aiming to achieve it much sooner, too.
We have also committed to a 50% reduction in our carbon emissions by 2030. Offsetting emissions isn’t the answer, we believe that reducing emissions at source is the only way we can save our planet.
